WNBA Game

I love the WNBA and MLS, because they know they have to serve the fan to survive. The big sports could care less about the average fan and it shows! These leagues have affordable tickets for a family, fan friendly with things like autograph sessions. I have said it many times before here on www.griff.ws, but I think it is important for my daughters to see women competing at the highest levels. Each summer we head to a WNBA game while here in San Antonio.

One of our heroes (mine and Raigan’s), is Becky Hammon in the pictures above. She is a great player, incredible to watch, great scorer, ball handler, small point guard. She is also a Christian who shares her testimony through her sport. She had an off night until the fourth quarter, where she scored 14 points including a 3point play the hard way in the paint and three point shot with seconds to go in the game.

This year Kerrigan did not go to the game. She was a little scared to tell me that she wanted to stay with her cousins at the condo. We have this little saying around the house that goes something like “that is what makes you a Servati” to some of our characteristics. She made the statement to Meme, “I have to go to the game because Servati’s love sports.” Well, we also love our family more, and wanting to spend time with the family is an Okay alternative to not going to the game.
