This weekend VA hosted its first “Little Big Town 5K”. Our soccer games were canceled due to the rain the night before. Raigan was signed up to do the “fun run” mile, but since we did not do the soccer her mom talked her into running the 5K. Having never running more than a mile she was a little scarred. However, she plays soccer and can play a whole game without coming out of the game, which is sixty minutes.  She ran the 5K (or 3.3 miles) in 28 minutes! Then about an hour later she ran the mile in 8.30! She has been running the mile at school in her mom’s PE class around the 8minute mark, so already running three miles only affected her time by 30 seconds. We are constantly amazed at our “little” girl who used to be shy, slow to try things without her parents.
