I believe in the following statement, “what doesn’t kill you, should make you laugh”. In that category last night Kailan was told to blow out her candles. However, never having done this she quickly flashed her finger to one of the candles. I a quick move she extinguished one of the flames by sticking her finger into the flame! She sat stunned for a moment, wondering why her family would all gather around in a circle and ask her to hurt herself. I think that next year, we will have to make sure she understands the concept of “blowing” out the candles.
