Kerrigan saves the day!

This week was a another close game. With about 30 seconds in the game, one of her teammates scored to take a two point lead. Kerrigan then brought the ball down the court, a girl from the other team stole the ball from her (even though she had not passed the line where you can steal the ball). This girl raced down the court to score the tying bucket but Kerrigan did not give up on the play! She ran after her and as she shot she tried to block the shot, and fouled her. The girl made only one of the two freethrows. Her hustle down the court and a smart foul (we had to tell her there was such a thing) helped save the game because it is much harder to make two freethrows instead of a close shot.

Three times in the game she made a steal and dribbled down the length of the court. Once she banked it off of the backboard for a score. (See above) The other two times she went down the court and was called for a walking with the ball. One of these is pictured below, you will notice the additional number of hands, she does not have four hands! I believe there might have been a foul that caused her to walk.

Kerrigan is tallest on her team and ends up guarding some biggest girls on the court. Servati girls, even though they might be tall, must be a good ball handler! Just like her sister she dribbles very well, and looks up while dribbling and can make some really good passes.

Servati girls watching Kerrigan, Raigan looks excited!
