The question not asked.

This past week the pastors of our church attended a conference at Prestonwood Church in Plano. Our pastor's sister works at Prestonwood and we were eating lunch with her. She asked Ron (our new music minister), "So Ron, do you have any kids?" Ron replied that he had two boys. She then turned to me and asked, "So Griff, are you married?" I replied,"yep". She never followed it up with the question to see if I had kids.

Now why is this interesting to me? I guess because of my job position (Youth Minister), people assume that I am newly married and might have one kid. They are constantly shocked when they do ask about children, and then the follow up question of how long that we have been married! It does make sense after I tell them that I married at the age of 16 and that I am from Oklahoma.
