Kerrigan plays with the big girls

We have had soccer practice for Raigan's team the past two days. Kerrigan wanted to go practice with Raigan. Her team only practices once a week, plus we have been blessed with 70' days! It was just beautiful days to be outside enjoying the weather. On the way to practice, I asked her if she would be scared if she played a little against some of the big girls, and she said "not at all."

So we have been working on several footwork moves, then use them in a 1v1 game, then try to use them in a scrimmage. Today Kerrigan and I went against each other in a drill. She started in one direction performed a pullback and burned me to score a goal! A pullback is: as you are dribbling, you place your foot on the top of the ball and roll it behind you. You then turn and start dribbling in a different direction.

She then went on to scrimmage in our 5v5 game with the other girls. She ran the field, and ended up scoring two of our three goals. The girls were not giving her goals just because she was little, she earned them. At times she was out running several players for loose balls.

By the way, I have reworked our soccer team's website: VA All The Way.com check it out. I used a very easy and affordable webeditor if you are interested. It really does not take all the time that it looks like it does.
